Timing is Everything

Calle, a chocolate labrador, was hiking around old mines with his owner and his owner's friend when he fell down a 40' old mine shaft. His owner and owner's friend tried everything they knew to free her. They called anybody and everybody who could possibly free Calle but to no avail. After numerous attempts, they were still unsuccessful in freeing the dog so, the owner asked his friend to shoot Calle to prevent him from suffocating and suffering in the heat of the desert. His friend shot at the dog twice and left him in the shaft for dead.
Several days later, a couple of men were hiking among the same old mines when they heard whimpering and barking. They located the barking and saw Calle who was tired, weary and thin. Through trial and error, they were able to free Calle and located the surprised owner by the chip in Calle's shoulder.
Calle had been home for several days recovering from her ordeal when tragedy struck again - she got hit by a car - and - miraculously survived. Goes to show you, when it's your time, it's your time.

P.S. Can you locate the pronouns not properly placed?

The sad part of this story is that Callie was returned to his/her owner. Poor creature! Fell down a mine shaft, shot at, abandoned, rescued, returned to owner, hit by a car. Someone please do this dog a favor and find it a safe, loving home.

OK - so Callie's owners 'tried everything they knew' and 'called anybody and everybody' they could in order to rescue the dog. They failed and so attempted to put it out of its misery by firing two bullets down the mine shaft and went home. Days later complete strangers 'by trial and error' rescued the terrified creature.
Please! The owners are selfish, uncaring and cruel and do not deserve to have a goldfish.

I know the dog's owner personally and this is not how the story went. The dog was hit by a car before the family went on vacation with Callie. The rest of the story? Well, you can watch Fox News tonight. It's going national.

The stupid cow of an owner will not take the dog to the vet..
She should be thrown down the mine shaft.

The story is going national? Oh good, now everyone can see what horrible, callous owners Callie has! Take a look at the Fox clip on YouTube and you can see the guy who rescused Callie have a dig at the owners by saying how he could never leave or shoot a pet (like they did). Hope they relish their 15 minutes of fame at the expense of a poor innocent dog.

The dog did not receive vet attention after beig in the hole for 10+ days. She would have had all of her organs shutting down and would need careful attention and IV, instead the owner stuffed cheap dog food down her throat and had her go fetch, the dog knows that the owner shot at her she deserves to have a forever family not the callous lazy poor white trash that she has to live with.

Ummm... stupid cows? Poor white trash? Yeah, Calle's owners may not be what you want them to be and Calle may well have deserved more compassion and more professional care. My mother used to remind me that "we're all just people, doing the best we can." Though Calle's humans' best was limited, they were not trying to hurt their dog. Please check your privilege.
